Layer up for Autumn

We may be in different parts of the world but Amanda and I are both looking at ways to transition our summer wardrobes. Here in the UK, we’ve seen the last of the summer and its time to pull on the layers to take our clothes through to autumn and winter. Here’s how we’re adapting our current wardrobe staples

Always a favourite for summer but equally relevant for autumn, layered with a cosy sweater and flat boots. Add a pair of great sunglasses, a statement bag and we’re ready to go. For those chilly evenings, just add a blazer.

Here are our current favourites.

Style with straight leg jeans and low-heeled boots. Its such an easy look to pull together. I’m currently sourcing thin knits to layer under blazers.

The Knitted Dress

The knitted dress is always comfy and practical.  Just add the obligatory trainer. In my opinion a good sharp white trainer looks great with everything or  I’d choose a heeled boot just to add a little height to slim my proportions. With so much choice in the shops right now, I’m finding it hard to choose my favourite.

Chunky Cardigan & Jeans

I’ve already got my eye on my husbands favourite woolly. I’m going to wear it belted over my straight leg jeans.

I’ve been gathering a collection of neutrals for my basic wardrobe and there’s no rule that says that i cant transition them for autumn and winter.
